Lease your property to a social housing provider or council
You can lease your property to a vetted council, housing association or supported-living provider on a long lease, 3 years or more. It's for landlords who want one organisation as their leaseholder instead of individual tenants. Social Ready finds the right organisation and negotiates the deal; the provider pays rent monthly as set out in your agreement.

Who leases homes from landlords?
- Local authorities and councils — including for temporary accommodation for the households they place.
- Housing associations — looking to expand the homes they can offer.
- Supported-living providers — who house and support vulnerable adults and need stable, long-term homes.
What you get
A long lease, 3 years or more, with rent paid on the same date each month by BACS as set out in your agreement, including when the property is empty, unless the contract says otherwise. No management fees. The provider handles residents and routine maintenance, and the property is regularly inspected.
What to check
Know exactly who your leaseholder is and their financial standing; understand break clauses and the condition expected at hand-back; and remember residents may have their own tenancies with the provider. Guaranteed rent is often set below full market rent in exchange for certainty. Read our pros, cons & what to check guide.
