Guaranteed rent for 2 bed properties

Guaranteed rent for a 2 bed property means leasing your flat or house to a vetted guaranteed rent provider, such as a housing association or council, for 3 years or more. The organisation pays the agreed rent monthly, including when the home is empty unless the contract says otherwise. Two-bed homes can suit small families or shared supported living.

How does guaranteed rent work for a 2 bed property?

A vetted guaranteed rent provider leases the property for 3 years or more and pays one agreed rent each month, as your signed agreement sets out.

Two-bedroom homes are flexible. Depending on the provider, they may house a small family, a parent and child, or two people sharing with support.

We'll look at your property and tell you honestly whether we expect provider interest. If there is, we handle the introduction and negotiate a lease of 3 years or more for you.

What do providers look for in a 2 bed?

Each provider sets its own requirements, but a safe, well-kept home with current certificates is the starting point.

  • → Two genuine bedrooms and a usable living space
  • → Good repair and current safety certificates
  • → Outside space or storage, where available
  • → Access to schools, transport and local services
